Lago General Carrera and San Rafael Glacier, Carretera Austral

At the Lago General Carrera we used a friends giftvoucher and stayed in a container-tiny-house with its own hottub directly at the lakefront for a bit of luxury. Still, our laundry was done in the bathroom sink backpacker-style. One of the main activities in this area is to kayak on the lake to the famous Marble Caves Rock Formations, which was really impressive. We also did a daytrip with a catamaran to the San Rafael Glacier, where we heard and saw the ice calving and had a whiskey on fresh glacial ice. Unfortunately our feet got absolutely soaked in icy water on the boat deck but a cardgame with some friendly chileans distracted us from our numb toes.
